SOUTH PLAINFIELD 2, PISCATAWAY 1: Top-seeded South Plainfield (10-4) survived a scare from eighth-seeded Piscataway (0-15) with a second-half goal from senior midfielder Katie Muglia.
In the first half, Carly Ashnault scored for the Tigers, and Michelle White connected for the Chiefs.
Brea Germain made 13 stops for Piscataway.
South Plainfield advanced to the semifinals against fourth-seeded South Brunswick at 7 p.m. Thursday at Monroe High School.
