South Plainfield High School proudly announced the signing of two football players, Jamari Miller and Greg Burton. Both accepted Division 1 scholarship offers, Miller will attend Hofstra and Burton will put on the pads for Wagner University. Varsity Coach Philip McGuane was extremely pleased with the opportunities for both stating, "This is a great day for Greg and Jamari and their families, and a great day for our football program. They both are outstanding student/athletes, and we wish them continued success at the next level". Athletic Director Michael Buggey added, "We are very proud of both players for their football skills, but more importantly, we are proud of them because they are great young men. That's a tribute to their parents, and also a reflection on the type of program run by Coach McGuane. I am certain they will represent South Plainfield very well".
